ABOUT THE TRUST
The Vietnam Veterans (Neville Wallace Memorial) Children's and Grandchildren's Trust was formed following a discussion between two Vietnam veterans who concluded that the offspring of veterans were their legacy and the countries future.
The Trust was incorporated under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 on 15 December 1993 (AK/614218). The Trustee is the Perpetual Guardian. There is a Board of Advisory Trustees comprising two Vietnam veterans, the spouse of a Vietnam veteran and three children of Vietnam veterans. The Board is chaired by the nominee of the Wallace family.
Donations are credited to the funds capital account with the return on investments available for distribution by way of grants. Since 1993 the trustees have approved a wide range of grants covering the whole spectrum of youth endeavor.
In 2004 the name of the Trust was amended to recognize the work of the late Neville Alan Wallace, Vietnam veteran and a Past President of EVSA, as the Trust's Settlor.
